Whenever you are planning a Birthday Party, one of the most important things that you can do is prepare a written "party timeline". You should also have a "master shopping list". By making and following a solid timeline, you can make sure that your party is a great success!
Here are some tips from professionals to help you to get started with your timeline:
1 To create your timeline, simply use a pen and paper and decide how long things will take you to accomplish. As you are building the timeline, start a shopping list as well.
2 You must decide on where your party or event will be and how many people will be attending before you can start to build your timeline and shopping list.
3 Once you have your location selected, you can start to build your lists.
4 Next you need to decide what type of food and drinks you will be providing and how long the party will last.
5 Along with your timeline for the actual day of the party, you will also need to have a timeline for the one or two weeks before the event. This is where you will need to allot time for cleaning, shopping, decorating, etc
6 As you start to develop a good timeline and your shopping and supplies list, you will also begin to see if there are any conflicts in your schedule. You might need to rearrange things or enlist some help.
7 Now that you have your lists generated, stick to them and make sure everything gets done.
Remember, it is perfectly acceptable to ask other people to help you with some of the work
involved.
By writing things down, you will be able to see what you need to do and about how long it will take you.
